Early Life & Career
Carin van der Donk is a Dutch model and photographer who is best known as the wife of American actor, producer, and singer Vincent D'Onofrio. Carin was born in the Netherlands in 1970, and after completing her studies, she started her modelling career since she had always been interested in the film industry. She was signed by the well-known hair salon business Bumble & Bumble, for whom she filmed a television ad in New York City in the early 1990s. She met Vincent D'Onofrio there, and the two got married in 1997.
Personal Life
After her marriage to Vincent, Carin's modeling career took a back seat as she focused on raising her family and exploring her skills as a photographer. She often collaborates with her sister Marjan on photography projects and displays her work on her Instagram page. In addition to her photography and motherhood, Carin is also actively involved in charity events and anti-government protests.
Relationship with Vincent D'Onofrio
Despite separating in 2000, Carin and Vincent were able to rekindle their relationship and are now raising their two children, Elias Gene and Luka, in a townhouse in Gramercy Park, Manhattan. Carin is also the stepmother to Leila George D'Onofrio, Vincent's daughter from a previous relationship with actress Greta Scacchi. Leila George is an actress known for her roles in films such as "Mother, May I Sleep with Danger" and "Mortal Engines."
Throughout their marriage, Carin and Vincent have attended numerous red carpet events and movie premieres together, including the Los Angeles premiere of "Daredevil" in 2003 and the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of "Speed Racer" in 2008. The couple was also seen at the "Run All Night" premiere at the AMC Loews Lincoln Square in New York City in 2015. Despite some conflicting and inaccurate reports on their marital status, Vincent and Carin remain happily married and committed to their family.
